It has to be a minimum of 6 months, you can go earlier. A lot of halls book more than 6 months in advance, and you need to have a wedding booked before you can book a reception.
We went for our pre-marital course after meeting with my pastor the first time.
you have to look for a place for the reception in advance some places book more than a year in advance so my advise would be that you go and look for the hall and see a couple of dates and with that information you go to the priest and see if the church is available in any of those dates.Good luck…
you should look into the hall for dates and take those dates back to the church. They arent gonna be mad if its a few weeks off, especially if you had your wedding bands out 3 times. Dont procrastinate with the church though.
