Dirty Dancing USA – Jen and Tony’s First Wedding Dance

We practiced with the movie to do the same movement and dance from “(I’ve Had) the Time of my Life” in the movie “Dirty Dancing” with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze – minus some turns and the lift (the dress was too heavy). We did it for our first wedding dance. In the original dirty dancing, the camera cuts away, so we borrowed from the Dancing with the Stars rendition of “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” with Tony Dovolani & Cheryl Burke, but they actually also departed from the original …

This was the best wedding dance ever. I especially loved the groom’s solo and how the rest of the wedding party joined in. Way to go guys.
wow you guys were sooo awesome!!! The band wasn’t that great though. You should audio tap the real song and put it with the video! You guys did AMAZING!!! beautifully done!
I can’t stand rehearsed weddings… it doesn’t feel right at all. No real emotions just planned out crap. It’s a wedding not a popularity contest.

What a great dance! You were both awesome!! Thanks for sharing this. Don’t pay attention to uncouth people who comment about the band. The band sounded fine, and anybody with any sense would realize they would sound better in person.

hahaha im glad to see there’s at least one comment thats not deluded. The dancing was pretty dreadful. A crime against video footage. The dancing actually makes the band sound world class, What is the groom doing you may as well kick the bride out hes in a plastic white suit doing fitness regime?

You guys are great! Obviously such a fun couple and have the humor and energy to keep your love going forever. The band did butcher the perfect song…..but hey, at least you didnt drop her on the lift!! Congrats on your wedding!!
